Hi I have just got the new Palm Pre and was going to use it with George,
anyone else useing it?

I'm not sure but I think the Pre has a different operating system which dosent handle George.
But I may be wrong.

The Pre uses a Windows format and I've used George on my PC w/ Windows. Should work fine.

runs Linux aswell 

interesting to see them use TI for the cpu and then underclock it

George will not run on the new Pre.

It has a new opereating system,
George will only run on the old system and Paul is not upgrading it.

Thats why I decided to ditch Palm and switch to Blackberry. (no george wont run on that either)

Now I have to go deal w/ the numpty salesman who told me that anything that will run on a windows format should work on the mobile format.

The last Palm phone that george works on is the Palm Treo 650, can be imported brand new for about £85, it is still a good phone, but obviously not the most upto date. Stick a 4gig memory card in and you have loads of capacity.

The Palm Treo 650 is not the last phone, It was released in 2004, there have been loads since then.
The last one I had was the Centro, a superb phone, George will run on it but unfortunatly it is now outdated. newer phones including the pre can do so much more.  but NONE can run George.
