New Franchise

Just when you thought Franchising Was Dead

Just came accross a new ( to me anyway ) franchisein the c / c sector.

From IRELAND where they seem pretty well established and 9  in England.

Looks like it's a Joe Polish clone with a mobile marketing box on wheels, but don't know what system / systems they're using.

Known as the CLEANING DOCTOR they appear to have done a THOMSON'S LOCAL and divided the business up, so that, hard surface cleaning, or home cleaning require additional investment.

As they're showing in Glasgow I will get the opportunity to find out more.

The Cleaning Doctor Franchisees are  very successful and would be the busier of the cleaners over here. There are 2 in my local area. 1 is Carpet and upholstery and the  other deals with Hard floor and Contract cleaning.
They have good back up from the franchisor and although they are mostly single operators they do join up and tackle bigger contracts, usually out of their territory.
Aswell as being busy ,they are able to charge premium prices as people are more trusting due to the sales and marketing techniques (joe polish).

However I once got dropped from an ongoing contract as the cleaning Doctor came  on the scene,(builders initial cleans) however 3 houses later I was back and commanding a higher price for the same work as punishment for dropping me 8) ;D

As for the franchisor IMO, not a nice person.

PS They use the Alltec and Dry fusion system for Carpets

I remember a few years back Robert Saunders talking about this guy in Ireland who ran his cc business like a doctor surgery. The Carpet Doctor.
If you check out their web site, you will see the alltec portable range being used, Promite and joe polish sytle marketing, so a lot of Alltec backing.
We have two in Norfolk already. A modern day Chem-dry, or here today gone tomorrow.

i just read the franchise info, i note under promite they say only available from the cleaning doctor network, but when you read it a couple of times you realise it ois only available from trained applicators from the cleaning doctor network. you might say a good play on words

The owner of the master franchise is William Little, he's been in the carpet cleaning and supply for years.

I saw him at the Alltec Extravaganza 2 years ago and he stood up in front of everyone made a speach and then said he was gonna get everyone of us (in a carpet cleaning sense)

I guess he's on his way!

I have no interest in getting involved in ANY franchise activity but will go along and look at the product first hand, as they are in Glasgow tomorrow

Ron

Promite is available directly, or through distributors, I've been buying from a local distributor for about  7, or 8 years,

I am an " approved " user having attended the course and received the  certificate, but anyoe can buy and use the products.

Shaun,
As I remember it. Sitting at the breakfast table with him and others, at the Extravaganza. He said, he was going to have us all 'quaking in our boots'.
The basis of his quoting system seems to be at the forefront of the operation and involves an evaluated 'Prescription' for the prospective client. I put it to him that all Fast Trackers have 'Prescription' software, to which he replied that his was better.

Unfortunately, they were'nt there, but the web sites associated with them are very goog and it's obvious where they're coming from.

Anyone who knows the Alltec / Pirranha set up will see it represented there.

Whats been added, is water filtration vacuuming, of which I'm a fan, but not the one they have, there's an English supplier who sells a better machine at a lower  price.

So the marketing is probably based on.........Healthy / Allergy Free Homes / Protection to Help Maintain The newly cleaned Carpets,Upholstery and Curtains

it's a pretty solid set up and will be very successful for the right people

This is really FAST TRACK in action

Acording to National Statistics office Norfolk is one of the worst off counties.

Much better to open in Kent

Kent no good already sown up by franchisees, even bump into Rainbow today what a sob or could be a identity crises he is going though being an independent  (if there is a word within this system) and having ISS as the master franchisor, it’s plaster on the side of van. :( ;D

Now that’s got to be marketing tip to potential customers how many fingers in the pie! ;D
