What's the earliest?
« on: November 17, 2009, 07:19:26 pm »
Got a block of flats to do tomorrow. Thinking of starting at 7.00am. Do you think I'll be ok. or will I get the chamber pots thrown over me?

I never clean residentials before 8am, I feel that starting at this time gives them long enough to get up.

As you said, it's not a house it's a flat. You are not cluttering up the drive while they try to get to work or school, or banging about. The sound of water on glass is minimal.

Start to early and you run the risk of catching the lady of the house unaware  ::)

If the flats have communal windows/doors then start on these to give yourself a headstart.
It's a game of three halves!

Treat people as you would expect to be treated yourself.
It's that usual early morning rush to get yourself and kids etc ready to leave the home, would you be happy with a distraction that puts the first part of the day all to rat poo.
Turn up at mine before 8.45 and you're sure to be told to get lost.

thats why he doesnt do your windows :)

i start at 7.30 often and 99%are up on way out to work

we arent the only people with lives you know

so what if once  a year you get someone a bit grumpy

they will live and probably get over it...

Starting at 9 when its dark this early id get nothing done

had one of best solo days ever today , why? start at 7 and was finished for 4 because i was soaked to the bone otherwise i would of gone on :)

For residential I reckon for me 8.30 is the earliest.  However, I do have a number of customers who are happy with earlier starts so if I want to start early in their area, I start with them.

Easy, squeegy in one hand and iPhone in the other. I thought all window cleaners could do that ;D ;D
