Thanks a bunch, I found a good price online for a Tucker 12", they do ship internationally, although shipping prices are very vague.

£25,53 exc shipping, that's not bad! :)

Note: Shipping charges are not calculated by the website. J.Racenstein passes along shipping charges directly from the provider. A shipment confirmation will be sent to your email address with the shipment tracking information and shipping costs.

Wonder what they mean with that.

Ah, that sucks. I know some people in the States, might check with them if they can send it over somehow. Dunno.  :-\

Or just save up, and buy it here.

Thanks Luke

Tried a 9 inch Tucker single trim out fitted onto a SL-1 (Maver fishing pole) today. Much lighter in comparison to a 12 inch Tucker when cleaning awkward windows over wide conservatories and flat roof's. The single trim version scrubs easier than a full trim as well.

I noticed yesterday on ebay that Gardiner are selling a boars head brush on there. I was just wondering if Alex had been experimenting with it whilst evaluating different brushes and would appreciate his feedback on this brush.

12 inch very good. Been using them for 6 years. I use swivels on all my brushes and find that the 12 inch doesn't flip over as easily as a 9 inch can when cleaning at awkward angles like over a conservatory roof from the side of the conservatory at say 35 degrees to the window  instead of straight on and over the roof.

9 & 12 inch both have 2 jets fitted on the brush, but because the 12 is wider it covers more scrubbing area so less time cleaning the glass and it's more stable when rinsing 'brush on' if sweeping sideways coming down the glass.

Like i say i`ve used the 9" but not the 12",i found it really difficult to beat for cleaning results. How light do you rate the brush against the new 1.

I have used the boar's bristle brush for evaluation. Whilst the bristles are very good quality the brush is not for me and I could not personally recommend it.The stock on this one is just too bulky and I found it hit the frames too much but the thing that I really didn't get on with was the bristles themselves.  To scrub the glass properly you have to put so much pressure on the brush head as the bristles stick to the glass. If you push lightly it just bumps across the surface of the glass without scrubbing.  Not for me, although I am sure some will probably get on with it fine.

NWH,
I'm still waiting for my SL-2 in the post so I can't evaluate the new brush yet. I should have it tomorrow with any luck. From watching the video Alex put out of it, it looks like a happy medium between a salmon & a Tucker, but that's just speculation, so I can't say until I've actually tried it for myself.

I have been testing this, should be out in a few weeks.

Better than a Tucker Brush (same bristles I think) wipes the floor with the Super-Lite brush.

Weighs less than 300g

I don't want it to wipe the floor ::)

Only using it on windows ;D

I gather you have used a Tucker brush then? Why is it better then both? Your post doesn't give much information why it is better.

I think I will wait for the next revision Superlite, which should be 180g. Lightness and good cleaning is all that matters to me now.

If Luke (captain scarlet, rupert the hare) is still around, I'd be interested how the latest superlite compares to the tucker.
