how much water on average do you use per window or per house?

just trying to get a rough figure as would help me buy the right kit.

if i was just to wfp the top windows of your average £10 house, whats the ratio from water to houses? eg 10 houses per 100 litres.

A normal 3 bedroom semi I would use roughly 10-15 litres, thats the whole house not just upstairs,250 litres done me till lunch time,I now have a 500 litre tank and I still come home with about 100 litres in it ;)

Martin at risk of sounding silly why do just the tops...

IMHO a 400 litre tank will earn you a nice living per day...cleaning whole houses...

I bought a 250litre tank when I first started...3months later bought a 650litre tank...grew out of it that quickly.

But if you are going use the water for tops only I would say 150litres to give yourself some 'comfort'.

Cheers
Dave.

wont be able to use/set up an ro system till we move so having to go crappy di only for a temp basis, so thats why im trying to work it out.

thought if i just did tops with it for now it would save me on water and di only costs.

so if im just doing tops then 150 litres should do say 10 - 15 houses?

For a lot of my round I do the tops wfp and bottoms trad.I'm using a backpack at the mo which holds 15 litres and that does 3 or so fronts only.Probably a whole backpack to do all round on an average 3 bed semi.More on first cleans obviously.

use around 1.5-2ltrs/min. fill a 500ml water bottle with 1 jet and time it.
wfp is fast, the first cleans take longer, so scrub thoroughly so the next time round it can be done much quicker. it takes seconds to clean a window and frames on maintenance cleans,  no more than 15-20secs. first cleans though it will be nearer a minute.
