Pure water fed pole system have the tank bolted through the chasis. I have one of their systems.

Sorry, checked again and their top spec system is bolted down, but is over £4500 for one man set up

Hi
If its down to customer service do a search on here about Brodex.
I would go trad if they were the only suppler, honest.
Art
Is it really that bad?
Search away my friend.

Art , I have searched and it doesn't look good
Darren

To be fair not everyone would pour hiss on them but you are not getting a bargin here couple that with the fact their customer care is so poor would certainly rule them out for me.
Purefreedom although cheaper and like gardiners, never seem to get any bad posts

Have you considered using a static system to fill your van. Some suppliers charge a lot extra to mount RO etc in van.

IMO it is nicer to have the RO as part of a static set-up if this is an option for you.

Have thought about this but I knocked my garage down about 3 years ago (which i gained access by a dirt track at side of my house) , to put up 2 big summer houses. One of the summer house is used as garden shed but could contain a static system but my van would be parked about 70 meters away at front of house when transfering water, bit far I think

Have you got a price from Concept 2o?
Aren't they just a franchise company ?

Not at all, you can just buy a system, you don't have to go down the franchise route with them.

Spoke to Julie at Concept 2o, very nice lady, seems to know every thing about wfp,  she is going to email price but expecting in region of £7000. But definately good system and good back up.

Hi
I am in a similar position to you shopping around for a system, i have come across this and will be getting in touch with them myself. if you search them there is no negative comments and it seems to be a one man band,

Ive never bought any thing from Brodex and I live on the same bridge as them, there is no need to pay over the odds. I have had quotes from them before. Mike at pure efect set me up far cheaper than they could. Mike works by himself, has more knowledge than anyone when it comes to systems. He gives us continual support whenever we need it, more than happy to help you with any quieries etc. We have a 2000ltr RO system at our premises, a 800ltr system on one van with a second one being in the process of being fitted. Mike has also built us a 400ltr box trailor mounted system. I cannot recommend him enough.

I have just spoke to Mike, sounds like a nice bloke and very clocked on, very much on the ball. It confirms what you guys have said about him. I now know who to speak to if I do have a problem with my equipment. As I am looking to purchase further accessories, I will be giving my business to someone who has genuine after sales care   and not to someone who claims to care.

So I would like to recommend Mike from Pure Effect to others!

at the end of the day they all do the same thing, there are so many places to buy RO units and DI filters these days. Pure water is pure water and your customers wont see any difference from one system to another,  i think it really boils down to wether or not your bothered about crash testing or not, if not then DIY and save yourself alot of money you could spend on say a gutter vac or jetwasher.

i have several van mounted systems i got from ionic in brand new vans, and i can say that the next one will be in a second hand van and either a diy system or a cheaper company puting it in, anything else is a waste of money.
The best way to predict the future is to create it.

Darren,
The nice thing about diy is when it goes wrong you have a good understanding of what to do to put it right.
All systems are much the same, tank, pump valve, reel and pole. Plus the savings made means you can afford to buy spares of most items limiting any down time.

Hi Darren
Just had a good chat with Mike at Pure-efect great bloke to speak to, not a bit pushy gave me some good advice and a good price to. For a 650 system about £2500 fitted and will even fit on a sat morning. I am not quite ready to buy yet and have looked at a lot of different systems  and i am going to go up to have a chat with him when i am in the area, but he's the one that will get my bussiness.

I totally agree with Lee from Pryors. I have an Ionics system fitted in a Renault Trafic and only the front two bolts are through the chassis, due to the frame work on the back of the tank, the brackets don't line up with the chassis, therefore the back two are bolted through the floor. So i guess a crash test is only as good as the alignment of the tank to the chassis. Would my van perform as well in a crash test as some old Transit?
