u want the 3.5 metre 2 section ladders for domestics.trade are just the right ladders for window cleaning.not too light not too heavy.if u need to go higher than 1st floor windows i would use a trad pole or WFP.HOPE THIS HELPS.dont get diy ladders or the heavy industrial ones.just not suited to the job!ladderstopper and mitts i would recommend as well.hope this helps.

I have the 3.5 metre titan doubles that I got from from midland laders for a oner next day deliv included. They are extreemely good and do everything.

I however have been looking at a set of triples for second floor, but am also looking into a small water fed pole setup for this problem.

Dont know if that helps, but the 3.5 m doubles are more than perfect!!

I went for the triple as the base is a wider than the ladder and a built in stabilizer which helps a lot. Don’t buy D I Y ladder and see that the vertical post are big and strong. Think longer so you could reach the gutters of second floor. So you can do these if need be. If the ladder is to light they bent and feel unstable. Get mits or stand off and also 3 foot peg to fasten the ladder to ground if need be.

a few times recently iv seen some really narrow looking ladders that are long on top of builders trucks etc .   i reckon they might be light and good for windowing,  but dont know who makes them .

I use a 3.5 double.   But recently seen a cleaner using what looked like a 4 or 4.5 double split in two so he had one length and his lad had the other, looked a good idea, just long enough to reach the top window and I'm guessing very light to carry and easy and quick to use.
Does anyone else work like this ?

You need trade ladders with the yellow feet.

yes inside - but not the tiny hatchbacks like polo or micra   but the full size hatches which are usually 5 door
