Looks like a rotary drill with an attachement to splodge suds around.
Not seen before but would be interesting.
I would imagine it would have to be fairly low speed.

the pic you have is I reckon an attachment for an electric drill as Joe says. And it's a bad idea.

The other thing is an orbital which means it's not wizzing round in the same direction at 200mph.

The nearest thing to what would do the job is a minitex made by texatherm - do a search on that.

Its right i would go for the mini tex as its made for the job.

Also with a converted item its going to spin to fast and cause scorch marks on your fabric if your not carefull and dont forget the throwing about of the water on the clients walls

this is built for the job, it has a hose attached to inject a solution into the scrubbing brush its like a Von Schreider (sp) set up.

Agree with Mike as I still have one although I do not use the pump unit.

Although the pic is slightly blured is looks like a swift upholstery shampoo unit made by G Holloway and son.
Mine is about 20 years old and still running.

Doesn't look very comfortable to hold.

Suites are back breaking enough, why not get an Oreck orbitor and keep dipping it in a bucket of suddy water, at least then you can stand up !

I only ever tried using a rotary ONCE for upholstery and it was an unmitigated disaster.
Minitex, and all I seemed to achieve from that exercise was spray washing the walls
My own opinion is that for this to work needs something with half the speed of the minitex.
