Commercial Work
« on: September 24, 2009, 11:37:26 pm »
Ive only just started cleaning domestic carpets this week but at some point i want to get into doing commercial work aswell.I currently use a HWE machine, but for large offices, nursing homes ETC,would i be better buying a rotary cleaning machine,as large areas would be back breaking using HWE.Looking at Truvox orbis range.I would be grateful for some suggestions.

Lets start at the beginning.

What training you had?

What equipment you have?

what fluids you have?

what insurance you have?

For nursing homes I would generally use a HWE due to what may be in the carpets.
For commercial work, depending how bad they are. Good vacuuming is essential.
If too bad would use HWE for the first time, finished ooff with a rotary to get rid of excess moisture and help prevent wicking.
If you can get a deal to go in fairly regular and they not too bad then I would use rotary for subsequent cleans.
Either cotton pads or microfibre pads for bonneting.
150-220 rpm max speed for a 17".
I understand Solutions Cornwall Fusion Clean is very good and economic. Its detergent free and has anti-stain and anti-soil properties. Not used it myself but good reports.
