« on: September 23, 2009, 06:54:21 pm »
Wife's friend just spilt nail varnish as we speak on her leather sofa.
Not a particularly expensive one so any ideas for me to impart my
knowledge to her re - removal.

Acetone will remove it, the problem is it will take the paint off too.  ;D

Have you thought of doing leather John? Have a word with furinture clinic or LTT they could advise and supply products.

Cheers Mike, keep thinking about it.
She 's wiped it with a cloth and spread it and it's taken the colour with it.

W.Yorks.

It's not an expensive one, think she's just looking for a
way to minimise the damage using home made stuff.

This cannot be dealt with by home remedies or DIY products.  Once colour has been removed it has to be fixed by replacing the colour which is a technical job depending on the type of leather.

Come to see us and bring it with you  - that way you get trained and the job done at the same time which will pay for the training.
