Just had someone from Bt call me ,saying they have had 91 people enquire about carpet cleaning this month already ! Why it would be in my best interests to get listed with them,blah blah ,blah !
Said i would look later,i have just looked and i am on every site they mentioned ! Top of the page on most of them !
Do your homework sales peeps,can`t wait for her to call back tomorrow !

Mark, do YOUR research. I think you will find this type of call has been discussed many times on here, amazed you weren't aware of it. Basically they just ring up and say that, they are just telesales people reading a standard script, they probably don't even know what SEO stands for.

Just 91, get them in the hundreds in Norfolk and when I say No they can not believe it, strange as they honestly expect me to believe them,  'Your salespeople no one believes a word you say'.

I was told I would be on page 1 if I signed up. When I pointed out I was at the top of page 1, the still rambled on. I think it is a recorded message, and only "ok then" triggers the next speel.

"sorry you must have 2 websites"

as you can tell, i was ever so slightly annoyed, lucky he caught me on a good day.

Not that i am saying i like cold calls, or the people who accept the job of cold-caller, but if they are plugged into an automatic dialler then they won't have any say over who gets called.

I get cold calls all the time but then i advertise my fone number so i've not got much of an axe to grind really.

Aparantley  we have had a cll from exited BT sales Lady wants to come and see me in October

They have a new concept get all  retailers and advertisers to have a special offer for BT customers only.

I will  be canceling my advert this year as the last thing I want is a price war.

Happened a few years back when a plonker advertised in BT directory Suites £35  carpets other stupid prices

yes, sort of, but not the sort of sales like real 'sales' people. I didnt work for high commision like double glazing, kitchens, Furniture, etc etc etc. I have worked as a rep for a vacuum cleaner company and worked in a department store. But as i say, not the high-pressure stuff, thank goodness. I'm not the 'type' who can sell, i'd prefer to let people make their own minds up and take the responsibility. How kind of you to ask. Thanks.
