Just been asked is there anything anti slip treatment you could put on tiles (ceramic ) in a large chippy?
Apparently when people come in out of the rain and get the floor wet its like an ice rink, although the owner has said that the tiles which are down are ones which he was advised to put down to prevent this happening.

The only permanent solution is to have the tiles treated by someone like No Skidding or Slip Stop which will cost a minimum of £15 a sq. metre.
Anything that just coats the tiles will wear off.
Every business has a duty of care to ensure that their floors do not present a slip hazard both to their employees and the public.
The HSE have had several advertising campaigns about this recently.
Your customer in asking your advice has admitted he has a problem and therefore cannot claim ignorance as a defence if anyone has an accident.
A furniture retailer close to me was fined £20,000 by the HSE for having a slippery floor and not rectifying the problem.
