[Pristine Clean]

Hi Guys,

I have heard that you can purchase and electric powered brush that fits on the end of a standard vacuum cleaner.

I dont know the correct name or where to purchase.

If any you know the item I am refering too please could you point me in the right direction.

If it is to fit on the end of any old vacuum cleaner then it would have to be either one of the suction-driven heads or one with a recharegable battery. I've seen both sorts on Ebay in the past.

The heads which use a mains or low-voltage mains supply to power it have some sort of connection on the cleaner to allow this to happen and will on the whole have the head supplied with the cleaner (although years ago the heads were often optional extras).

I've never heard of a cleaning head that uses mains power that is avaliable for use on any generic vacuum cleaner and i cant really see how it would work, unless it had a massively long power lead which ran the length of the hose of the cleaner and all along the length of the cleaner lead too? I dont see how though, as the legnths are not standard sizes?

I use the dyson animal attachment,and stick it on the end of my vac hose,its not electric,but spins very fast.
It aggitates and picks up anything.

would you mind explaining the Numatic one to me, i don't follow?  How does it work on a non numatic cleaner? Is it battery powered?

No I dont think it works seperatley! As I could not find the one I was refering too originally I would settle for the numatic complete.

You mean buy a complete cleaner with the head attachment, like the Henry Hound?

I have looked on ebay for the rechargable one BUT as i have no idea what people selling them have chosen to list them as, i've had no luck    But i've seen them on ebay in the past.

my mum had a HOOVER  like that .   the brushhead on the end of the hose had its own motor inside .  the mains lead then ran along the hose  (clipped to the hose )and  i remember it was a dark chocolate brown colour hoover

Possibly a Hoover Sensortronic Johnny. Or a Freedom.

The power brush may need a lower voltage supply e.g. 25 V, so check requirements.  A transformer would IMO be a nuisance.
