Glass roofing lichen/grime remover?
« on: December 17, 2009, 06:00:38 pm »
Can anyone recommend a good chemical for eating through this grime on glass? They haven't been cleaned for about 10 years and the thick film is black with what looks like lichen growing aswell. Tried a test panel today and wfp will NOT touch it, tried same panel again with a pre srpay of TFR - nope, no good!
Got an applicator on it and scrubbed like mad, took some elbow grease to eventually move a 12" strip. There are about 800 of these panels to do, so it needs to be a 5min per panel job ideally to keep the cost realistic! Probably have to the frame work also to finish the job off nicely!  Any ideas ??? Would Ecover touch this?
