a bloke round here used to be a milkman then do his round in the afternoons.he had an allotment too but he had more spuds and carrots growing out of his ears ;Dhe was so miserable til he had a heart attack and nearly died then he decided to cheer up and enjoy his life.he used to charge 50p for a 3 bedroom in the early eighties.when i started in 93 he was  charging 70p :o.i ended up with his round but trebled it instantly then sold it on a few years later.my dad used to be a milkman in the 70s.i used to go with him when i woz a kid delivering hampers on cold frosty morning round salford.happy days ::)
price higher/work harder!

The man who lived next door to my parents was a postman who also ran a painting and decorating business.

Much the same sort of arrangement. Did his post job in the morning then out decorating for the rest of the day.
