WFP help required
« on: August 18, 2009, 04:33:21 pm »
Hi all,
i'm desperatly in need of help,
I changed my resin today for the 1st time on a 2nd hand unit. I then cleaned my windows but after they had dried i had spots of approx 5mm dotted all over the upstairs windows.
When i changed the resin i just started up should i have run it for a bit to get the impurites out first or would i need to top the resin up again??

sorry to drop this on you but i've got a great big house to do tomorrow and i don't want to lose the contract just as i'm starting wfp.

from that it sounds like you dont have a tds meter??

if you haven't, you MUST get one, otherwise you have no idea of the tds level of the water.

i've got a reading of 14 after its gone through the resin.
would i need to top the resin up as when its wet surely it lsubsides in the blue tank?

14 after the resin?

if you have just changed it and let it flow a bit you should be at zero!

Think i might've sussed it out, i have had to borrow some extra hosepipe just so can reach round the back of the house tomorrow. I conected it all up and started doing my windows.
I reckon because it was garden hose their was still tap water still in the pipe and thats why or perhaps i've got big spots on the glass. does it sound feasable to the experianced blokes on here??

Whats the tapwater TDS reading?
Are you using a RO unit then Di ( resin)or just Di
If the TDS is 0 then wash and rinse the windows twice if its a 1st clean, then rinse again, make sure 1 st clean is perfect then you shouldn't have many probs on the cleans thereafter
