Hey,

Any of you guys that have leased vechiles, do you know how well the vechiles are looked after with regards to servicing and things like changing timing belts? Or does it just defer between owners?

I bought an 06 Transit 6 months ago with 50K miles from auction "Direct" from the leasing company. It had 12 months MOT full service history showing 3 x services with service print-outs of all works done all included and even details of the mileage that the front tyres were changed. Its been good for me and no issues to date. I have found over the years that lease companies like to keep as many documents as they can as it maximises the price.
Nothing beats hard work!!!!

i had a mate that all ways instisted on buy ex lease vans, ie rac rather than a van off a company, as they use to have to keep them in tip top condition, he us e to pick up police vans and stuff like that, i my self bought a x poice car with 189,000 on the clock and it drives better than most newer cars as everything on it has been looked after, after all the tax payer pays so y not have the best lol

i just bought a van from auction, it was an ex lease thing from scotland, so i was just wondering would it have been looked after or is it just a gamble? there were no records with it.

They are normally looked after, but like with any vehicle its pot luck. If you know the company it was leased to, give them a ring as they may still hold the vehicles history on file.
