Magic easy snap connector
« on: August 02, 2009, 09:20:22 pm »
My connector from pole hose to microbore has a mind of it's own. I'm working away and move a metre and the thing comes apart, pick it up put it back together, bash it on the floor, bend it and tug it and it won't come apart. Look the other way for a second and the piggin thing has come off again  ???

I have used the easy snap connectors for a while now and even with that ball, they still get dirty and jam.
For the last year i have kept them connected all of the time and i just pull the pole hose out if i need to change the pole.
The end of the pole hose will keep coming undone eventually, but just snip an inch off the end of the pole hose and reconnect.
This is the best method i have found so far.

golf balls. drilled out and pushed over the pipe either side of the connector work beautifully. Not only do they stop the connector from pinging open but they give you something more substancial to hold when you are undoing them especialy when they have begun to rust up.
