pricing for cleaning windows and blinds for small office
« on: July 08, 2009, 12:27:17 am »
i will have to give a quote tomorrow at 1pm for cleaning a small offices blinds and windows once a month but i'm sure i'll be under pricing myself. I am thinking 30 minutes for every window and 1 blind, coming to at least £7 per set. does that seem right?

people speak as though blinds are the worst thing to clean yet they seem so simple, 5 minutes each sort of job if it's just a months worth of dirt but then at 5 minutes each blind i'm sure i'd be massively underpricing.

Hi

Blinds takes ages. the dust is usually baked on through heat from sunlight, as dust is mainly skin cells the heat melts them and they stick to the blinds, they will certainly take longer than 5 mins.

5 mins will probably get a few slats done, each blind may take 40 mins.

Hi

An idea is to remove the blinds, take them home and soak them in a hot bath with Bio-logical wahing liquid and leave them for a few hours.

the dust is usually melted skin flakes baked on by the hot sun, using hot water will soften them agin and the washing powder/liquid will clean, some agitation may be requied, or a wipe over with a cloth.
