Algae in pure water containers
«

Like many I have the see-through 25 L containers (origionally for my trolley system) but now for my trailer system. As they are stored outside, quiet often with pure water in them, they have managed to grow some algae in the bottom of them. It's not realy bad but bad enough that a few bits can be seen floating in my pure water!!
Anyone got a suggestion as to what I can use to soak and clean this our of all my containers?
TIA for the help guys

once I've cleaned them it wont happen again as they will be staying in my trailer as I just bought myself a submerged pump to fill my trailer :-)
But how to get rid of the darn alge now....

Try using a pressure washer.

Simples pour in two cups of bleach. Fill up with tap water swoosh it all about ,leave it overnight. then pour away and rinse till all bleach is out, may take 3 fill ups, then drain all water out then fill up with pure.

sounds like a plan, thanks guys. A job for the weekend!
It's funny how fixing a pole, setting up a pump, running some hose, realizing you TDS is 95 and had been for ages and sorting out all these odds and ends makes you want to run out and wash some more windows!!

You could spray the containers black.
Lol - or blue or red

I could spray them green then I wouldn't see the algae!
