You should use a flocked brush on it or soft ended,mono brushes ca scratch the coating on it.They say it`s self cleaning but the birds don`t know that they still poo on it lol. ;D

I have two jobs that are cleaned every 4 weeks.

The 2 jobs I have use to have a window cleaner but sacked them when they got sc glass. Both customers had the glass installed 8-10 weeks then I got the job of cleaning them due to the mess on the windows.

I use a super-lite brush on both jobs and they come up great each month. one of the customers got ripped of by the sales team that fitted the glass as they are an old couple. the sales guy said you will never need a window cleaner again! But when you see the house you could understand why the glass actually would not clean at all.

The ground floor windows have a 2 foot sofet that leads out, meaning that no rain could ever get to the glass.

What a waste of money

One of my custies has a conservtory glazed with this stuff. I clean it.
Apparently if you read the gumpf (which i'm sure no-one does) it says that they need hosing for it to work, and for bird poo you must agitate it with a brush.
And of course no thinks how the frames will look after a while, because THEY are not self-cleaning even if the glass says it is. ;D

is there any way of telling whether your cleaning self cleaning glass or not if your not actually told by the customer? Theres a potential problem just wating to happen if you can scratch the coating with a monofiliment brush, i dont even possess a flocked brush.

Self cleaning glass is just a gimic and ploy to get people to buy their product. hosing the windows down and agitating the dirt with a brush doesnt sound like self cleaning to me, plus what happens to the particals that are left behind after the water has evaporated lol hmmm
Reaching parts traditional window cleaners can not reach.

maybe it means once it's installed and you sack your window cleaner;

you then have to clean the glass yourself ::)
