BBQ Cleaning
« on: June 17, 2009, 11:26:00 am »
A friend of my wife has been bugging me to clean her BBQ for ages and I eventually carried out the work today. I didn't fancy putting all the mouldy smelly stuff straight into the dip tank so soaked it with Brillo Degreaser, left to dwell and pressure washed it prior to popping it in the dip tank. Took less than an hour to complete the job and charged £30 mates rates which she was more than happy with.

I'm wondering whether or not to pop an ad in the local rag and charge a flat rate of £35. Is the price too much/not enough and do any of you folks clean BBQ's and if so, what's a fair price????

I just buy a new BBQ every year rather than clean it..LOL  Then again were only talking £40-60 for a basic BBQ.

However if its one of those gas jobbies - i suppose you could do well from it.. One of the most hated chorse is oven cleaning and the BBQ could also be considered with that.. (it why i dont clean it rather just buy a new one - less mess, and overall hassle).
