forward thinking
« on: June 14, 2009, 10:28:48 pm »
been putting a lot of thought in to the few months before christmas that will hopefully be busy busy.

and how to encourage this.

Also what to do to get things moving in " off season in jan feb next year"

I have secured inside fronts in some books and where i have being doin well with so far this year for pre christmas eg oct nov and goin to up the leaflets and general marketting push.

as far as trying to boost jan and feb i though about sending nice printed xmas cards with  2  x £10 vouchers one for existing customer and ones for friend printed accordingly min spend £90. valid till march the 1 st 2010.

having put this post up to get the normal suspects rumbling and rambling on about how they are 7 days a weeks  and they dont need offers etc. zzzzzzzzz

was just wondering if anyone else was thinking about the pre and after new year period and planning for it and see what other ideas are in the mind .

regards

richard

Hi Richard,

When i did leaflets with offers (before I became obsessed with the internet ;)), I always advertised away from Xmas, so that Jan/Feb/March were better than I had previously experienced.

e.g 20% discount up to end of Feb 2010.

It seemed to work quite well.

Cheers

I agree with Doug, advertise when you need the work, in the long term your business wil florish that way as you are picking up customers when you need them and they come back naturally in the busy times when you don't need them so much.

I think about the pre and after new year period quite seriously...  I get drunk a lot, then go on holiday :)

Christmas offers dont work to well anymore from our experience, we seem to be busier after christmas.

Hello Doug, so it is you building all those cheap, ugly looking carpet cleaning websites that are littering the net?

They look terrible, LOL  if it is you can you build me one?

Hi Martin,

With flattery like that how could I refuse, just shows the rankings are good if you keep seeing them.

Send me an email, it's on my profile.

Cheers
