stainless steel kitchen work tops

Does anyone have any ideas on protecting/coating stainless steel kitchen worktops from tea stains?

I use a watered down dilution of `Mr Shifter` with a scourer to clean it (comes up nice), but the acid in the chemical is doing the worktop no favours!

Stainless steel is not Acid freindly. The Acid will damage the worktops if it has not already done so.

Any chemical that has Acidic properties should not be applied to stainless stell. Only things like Toilets / Urinals which are porcelain.

Hi

for all stainless steel I use window cleaner as a buffer/shiner and buff up with kitchen towel to take away any grease.

Stay away from acids, you will tarnish the surface (it goes brown) you can remedy this with Bar keepers friend (leave on for 1 min only before cleaning off)
