Unger ergotec system

Regarding the belt, pockets & braces.

Are they any good or are they just over the top? It looks like a good idea, for the braces to take the weight of the belt, pockets, boab etc. can't help thinking it all looks a bit big, bulky & stiff though. Do the ergotec pockets fit this belt? can't seem to get a difinitive answer to that.

So, anyone use them/rate them or is it just over-engineered tripe?

I used eslastic builders braces on my belt and pockets  for a bit. The braces where a pain to put on and off with the belt, like trying to wrap an octopuss around you from the back. I went with a velcro winspray belt. The unger system does look  8) though.

i have used the unger  belt and braces for years the braces can get a bit fiddlerly ,
i sometime carry all sorts of bits in the pouches a lot off weigth at times the strain is taken on the shoulders not the waist which i find better as i have lower back problems,
i have used waist coats with pocket, pouches with just a belt but i would always go for this system know and it looks a lot more professional

Small but perfectley formed

great when you get use to putting them on the braces can be awkward to fasten other wise good kit for trad cleaning and internals.

Well I have to say, the quality of this stuff is second to none. I'm so supprised this stuff is so cheap, no more expensive than other kit. Very comfortable & pro' looking.

However, the braces I have hooked up a different way because IMO the way they should be hooked up doesn't work, especially when you have the scrim pouch on the belt. The boab can be positioned anywhere & is higher up so it doesn't bounce off the back of my leg anymore.

So, hopefully, no more heavy belt pulling my trousers down anymore :D

Only the coming weeks will tell but it looks good so far.
