Simple Question about baffled tanks
« on: May 17, 2009, 07:10:39 pm »
What is a baffled tank?  Is it just a tank that has the ability to be bolted down?

How do you bolt it too your van?  What does it connect too?

Where is the best place to buy one?

What are the differences of having an upright tank,, or one that has a lower stance?? i dont know how best describe it but im sure you know what i mean?  on its side?

thanks  in advance!!

I did not become someone different
I did not want to be

But Im new here
Will you show me around?

a baffled tank allows water movment to be absorbed when in movement,

there are many people that will say oposite for and again upright tanks, I have both and prefer the upright tanks up less room and feels more stable

cheapest is direct from wydale tanks.

I have a cage round mine which is then bolted through the chassis of the van, some use rachet straps but I would not recommend that myself.

baffled refers to small chambers inside the tank that reduces the movement of the water from side to side and has nothing to do with the way the tank is secured indide the van
The best way to predict the future is to create it.

you can order these tanks online and have them delivered to you, as for the fitting and the cage you either buy these online or have a local welder make you one up and have them fit it, or a coach builder local to you will also fit it as will most garages.

You ask away fella, we all started in the same place ;)
