60 psi booster.... where from ?
« on: May 06, 2009, 09:42:17 pm »
Hi guys,

Need to change my 100psi shurflo pump for a 60 psi as the 100 is too powerfull for my RO and keeps splitting casings (im on my last one).

Where can i get a 60 psi booster pump from ? cant find one anywhere online. My pressure at home is only 30psi/2 bar and the RO can handle up to 60psi.

Anyone interested in a 100psi shurflo email me

Thanks

JP

Can you adjust the 100psi one down? Just replace or adjust the pressure switch?

Have tried reducing it, but its still jumping from 60 - 90 psi. Im sure its the pressure of too much water trying to go through that is cracking the casings

I use a varistream with mine, expensive just to control the pressure but it works for me. To get it up to 80/90psi the pump is hardly ticking over, without some sort of controller it's no wonder you are having problems, the pressure switch must be cycling like mad :o

I think he's using a shurflo as a booster pump.
Best advice would be to phone ro-man or get on their website and buy a proper pump for the job.
