ummm she never said she would rather have a thief cleaning her windows for £3,youve obviously misread what she has said mate, let me explain this for you, SHE SAID THAT SHE WAS ABHORED (oh he might not know what that means either lol) SHE SAID THAT SHE WAS SHOCKED AT THE QUOTE FROM THE MAN WITH THE SHINY BIG VAN AND THE WFP SYSTEM AND SHE WAS ALSO UNDER THE IMPRESSION MOST PPL WOULD BE SHOCKED TO WHEN SHE ASKED CAN YOU BELIEVE THAT?SHE ALSO WAS NOONES FOOL WHEN TOLD LADDDERS WERE BANNED these were the points i was making, nowhere in her post can i see where she says she would rather have a thief cleaning her windows for £3 or are you implying those of us who charge reasonable prices are thiefs as i would have thought the wfp guy who tells lies to gain custom i.e ladders are banned and charge ridiculous amounts to clean peoples windows would be the dishonest ones in my eyes.I for one dont read things that arent there but im about 99% certain from reading your post that you use the wfp system lol

thats not what im hearing off people whos cleaners have switched to wfp  ;D ;D

everyones heard that wfp isnt all that ppl make it out to be infact i havent heard one customer sing its praises, ive heard lots of customers saying ladders are banned because overzealous window cleaners have to tell porkies to get the customer to accept the system, ive heard customers complain of all the water going everywhere,i read online one time of a hotel owner complain because wfp made the windows foggy, ive also heard the excuses why the windows go foggy and that its because the old way of doing it and the washing up liquid being ingrained into the glass lol they talk some amount of bs,ive also heard wfp users counter the claim it doesnt do the windows right because the people who are using it are not doing it right, frankly im not convinced maybe it does do a great/better job than squegee but the only ppl i hear sticking up for it is the ones whos forked out hundreds and thousands for the systems,i mean their not exactly going to turn round and say its crap and theyve been conned, but as i say im not convinced i do hope its does a great job as i would like to incorporate the system into my business somewhere down the line but am scared that my customers wont like it.

PaulTH...Why not have a go with wfp...make your own mind up rather than a load of hearsay from dubious sources...you might be suprised how wfp as part of your window cleaning toolbox could change portions of your work i.e be able to take on larger, higher. arkward glass...perhaps in some instances your may be able to up you income...

If you try it and find the system does not work then you will know...but at present your talking with no 'real' evidence other than gossip.

Try it you may be very suprised, perhaps someone in your area would let you throw one of their poles around?

Dave.

"SHE WAS ABHORED!" That is nowhere in your earlier posts, Paul.

If she said "she was abhored" and you are quoting her correctly then she doesn't know how to make herself understood. Let me explain.

If she was abhorred (correct spelling) then it means she was detested or hated or regarded with disdain.

If she found something abhorrent it means she detested, found repugnant or hated ...

So "she found the £18 quote abhorrent" would make sense or "she regarded with disdain the £18 quote".

I hope that is clear for you.

Now on to our bicycling thief and our shiny van man - it seems our lady friend wants the thieving cyclist's £3 price but doesn't understand that the shiny van man cannot provide it. So she posts on money saving expert about £18 prices and ladders being banned quotes and probably doesn't understand wfp at all.

I don't know the size of her property but I do believe that £3 is too cheap and that £18 is probably too expensive.

What happens next is that someone like me goes in at a tenner, explains that HSE recommend that windows should not be cleaned from a ladder if it is practicable to do it from the ground and gets the job.

There are various factors in winning work, Paul and I think you are over-simplifying by quoting (in part) what one lady on a money saving forum has said.

Many customers (most?) do not go on moneysaving expert to find out about window cleaners, their moral character or lack of and their methods- they have more interesting things to do ...

It's a game of three halves!
