Well what can i say but thanks to all you that replied to [how to start a window cleaning round]. After looking to buy a round in leigh wigan bolton area with no success i decided to take your advice and start to build my own. Tonight after two and a half hours canvassing approx 60 doors knocked on and already i have 10 customers and 4 took my number. I know this is early days but feel very enthusiastic and positive that if i put enough hours in i could make a living out of this. I have 1500 cards coming soon and hope this will help me achieve my goal. Once again thanks all and i'll keep you posted

Nice work  :)

Im doing the same myself (been knocking 4 weeks & cleaning too)

Only thing i say is 'do your require a window cleaner' .... or if its raining i say 'when its not raining do you require a window cleaner'

It can be hard knocking at times, keep at it though, its so going to be worth it
Only those who risk going too far will truly know how far they can actually go

Just a small tip on canvassing,we used this many years ago and it should be same now. When you get a new client on a street the next call sould be,hello mrs a has asked us to clean her windows and we just wondered if any one else required our services while we are here, then if you get that one it s ,hello mrs a and mrs b has asked etc etc .It s surprising how this persuades anyone who don t like setting strangers to give you a chance. cheers mick
