nearly right shaun & clinton! perry set up afew franchises, & sold them, he has used all kinds of cleaning systems, porties, tm, tex/therm, cymex & bonneting.... he still does bonneting, using catalyst (thats primaraly for wool), m/s for synthetics, craftex & one step etc... whats this big hang up that most c/c's have about bonneting? i've been using this method for 5/6 yrs.... never had no problems with customer satisfaction
admittedly i use this system for basically for carpet maintainance, agitation prior to hwe & a quick skim to present the carpet or speed up drying.... clinton, when was dover a lovely town!! thats news to me

LM cleaning is great the problem lies when someone offers it as a deep clean also the other end of the spectrum is when some says that LM doesn't work, it's the selling that's wrong not the systems.

your right in what you say shaun, i've never presented bonneting as a deep clean, but, unfortunatly there are some in my area that do exactly that, perry is not 1 of them, he has a massive d/b & maintains their carpets souly, he very rarely if ever takes work outside his d/b... i do on the other hand offer deep cleaning with hwe... charlie

Yes your right on the bonneting and a guy who has been cleaning for 30 years in stockport just does dry fusion on most carpets in the domestic market :
I also do about 16k a year on just bonneting itself and its all about what you sell and if the clients are happy i guess.
Sounds like perry has the gift of the gab and good luck to him then..

The sensible man,,
Grows his business to meet the work demand.
The Idiot,,
Grows his business then looks for the demand.
Fact is, this is not a scaleable business and never will be. Enjoy the benefits of handling raw cash as a sole trader.
Go against this rule and you will have what’s called forced expansion and a business that is not sustainable.

We are the opposite of all the perceived wisdom.
We operate 2 full time vans one of which is mine.
We bonnet 99% of all the carpets we clean.
We have been operating for 10 years so must be doing something right ( one van for 1st 2 years then 2 vans for the last 8 years ).
Our work split is 70% commercial, 30% domestic because from the outset we put a lot of effort into breaking into the commercial market.
In my humble opinion we can get too carried away with the technical side of our business bearing in mind your customer buys from you and the service you offer and are not remotely interested in your latest bit of kit however shiny and powerful it is.

Go for it pal get yourself as many TM vans on the road as poss
1 it will go ace and your
staff
will be as caring of there workmanship as you
2 the
staff
will slowly let standards slip and think only of a pay cheque and you and your company will get a bad rep and all your hard work be for nowt.
Key word is how you mold your
staff
be hard on em but pay them very well and they should be loyal grafters giving attention to detail
or sack with NO remorse over lil errors that will keep the rest in check
