Ive got a job to quote in london which is 3300 sqm but there doesnt seem much in the way of drainage, how do you pressure washing guys get round this?

do you bag it up and dump it?

I am assuming block-paving.

For 3300 sqm you'll need a small team and several machines if you've got to get the job done in a sensible amount of time. I reckon 180 hours divided by three operators should make this job possible in a long week.

If doing on your own (wash, weedkiller, sand) with a decent machine (3000 psi, 15 LPM min) then you can probably add to the 180 due to operator fatigue.

Really poor drainage could add to the time.

If the surface is blocks then I'd estimate that you'll have to shovel and dispose of anywhere between 300 + 500 buckets of mixed crap and undrained water.

Check policy on disposal with the customer.

some of it is block paving and the rest is 1 foot sq slab all grey in colour

it is job to be done annualy

we have the gutter vac which would help us clear up the sludge

Slabs are way easier and offer much less mess.

With slabs you could manage 600 sqm a day on your own, as long as they are set tight up against each other.

we hire a 30 inch approx rotary cleaner and pressure washer for any job that comes up, plus we already have 13hp pressure washer and lance for the edging and steps

its sounds like a weeks work for 2 with the equipment we have available

It did have good drainage but two of us cleaned 4000sqm, in 3 days, with turbo nozzles.

Ian 180 hours is 18 ten hour days for one person, divide it by 3 people it becomes 6 days.

3300sqm divided by 3 = 1100sqm for each person. Over a 6 day period they will be cleaning less than 200sqm.

Those figures seem very low to me and I would be expecting 500sqm per day, per man!!!

I have allowed for the whole job including applying weedkiller and Sanding.

This was assuming the entire area covered in block paving with bad drainage.

This is realistic from my experience.

Where do you guy get rid of the waste if the drainage is minimal?

There has to be a low point somewhere where the water/dirt will gather i'd go for a surface sludge pump and set it up there,try your local hire place for one bit like this

this might be a bit ott but for 7 days hire it might get you out of trouble
