got asked today by a custie while youve got that pole out cleaning the window above the conservatory just give the roof a clean please yeah... perfect response.... yeah sure, while you've got that cheque book out just pay more yeah.

me too normally and thats what i said to the lady next door who asked properly, its just annoying when people expect you to just do a huge job for nothing because your time is so invaluable

I think sometimes they don't realise what a roof clean entails - if you did it every month it'd be relatively inexpensive but being a six monthly/annual thing it takes a lot longer.

I doubt she really twigged the implications. She thinks you've just got to give it a brief onceover not realising that that would make it appear more messy than it already is.

absolutely malc, i dont take the hump coz u know they just think its nothing, funny though coz ive got such level headed nice custies and went canvassin for more expensive country houses this was one o them, then i realised the better off people do require the moon on a stick with their clean! :D

I just say i dont have the time due to "other" commitments, and a job like that needs to be "booked" in.

It stops an awkward moment.. and allows time to price it up properly.
