One of 'those' custys today
« on: September 11, 2009, 04:01:03 pm »
Gutter/soffit/window clean. The retired twerp talks to me all the way round, stands inside looking out of every window whilst i'm doing them, tells me wfp is crap and how his wife visits someone in a retirement home and how bad their windows are because the guy uses wfp. Tells me how crap his last window cleaner was. Wouldn't pay me untill he had inspected every pane (and found some spots), finds some dirt under the fascia lip that faces the windows then doesn't pay me untill he finishes telling me his life history.
Got to go back tomorrow and do his neighbour - I just know i'm in trouble.

Have to admit though, wfp is generally crap.

id drop him like a hot potato ,but keep doing the neighbours -    recently iv started feigning a "bad back" as soon as i detect iv a  sh/tty custie  and thats a  good get out clause   and it allows you to get away   and  grab a bit of sympathy as u go

ftp you got some dodgy custys, I think this is the 3rd or 4th post youve done in about 2 weeks about pita custys, yet your months behind on your round but still have time to do these sort of jobs, time to go through your custy list and get rid of the chaf you got  ;)

The plan was to squeeze this one in early then carry on with the round for the rest of the day. This was a one off that looked fairly easy and quick. Turned out to be a lot longer than anticipated (didn't help and old collegue stopped for a chat too). So I'm still behind. Got another quote to do on the answer phone - a sunroom? Whatever that is.
Do I ignore it or reply 'cos it could be big. Haven't got any space in my round which is why i'm working tomorrow.

No recession here lately, it's gone mad.

Yeah, what recession.  And what swine flu for that matter. Or bird flu or other armageddon were supposed to be going through.

FTP I find WFP is generally good. I have only had 3 complaints since I made the switch earlier this year.
Just got to make sure that you rinse plenty and brush in all the nooks and crannies.
Reaching parts traditional window cleaners can not reach.

If I could splash and dash I'd be a lot richer.

Sounds like this chap may prove to be a winner...if your clean convinces him he'll be your best advertisment..

As a conservatory but solid construction, i.e. usually brick/stone base & pillars with pitched slate/tile roof.

No, but a sunroom is more of an extension with lots of windows if you get my drift. Posh people tend to have them & INSIST on it being reffered to as a sunroom & NOT a conservatory! ;D

In my expereience , sunrooms are inhabited by people who's libido could be verily unconstrained.

With a bit of luck.
