« on: April 13, 2005, 03:19:45 pm »
Hi All

Does anyone strip, rinse and polish hard floors? ie Vinyl, thermo-plastic, asphalt and terrazzo. If so what sort of time scale do you give your self per sm and what do you charge per sm?

If you don't what to put you prices up for everyone to see could you pm me please

Many thanks Gavin

I do, price depends on the job, its not like carpet cleaning can be very labour intensive striping and sealing and agents/polish can be expensive.

I have been known to charge £7.50 sqm on lager areas, on small a price, which can work out more on sqm.

Spray buffing again depends on job but as an average £45 per hour, burnishing more, we are talking one off’s jobs, contracts different! Again equipment can cost.

Hope this has helped would also recommend a course if going into this field as one cock up can cost you dearly more than a replacement carpet!
