vomit on sofa
« on: March 04, 2009, 06:27:46 pm »
Been to view a sofa today which has been resprayed in vomit.(nice colour altho somewhat patchy)

I would normally tackle this with stain pro, fabric restorer and extract with f&f rinse.I've wondered if taking the cushion cover off and pretreating the foam first. Then revisit a couple of days later to clean the rest of the suite would give a better result. It really dose hum, its currently residing in the garage!!

any thoughts

Removing the cushion covers is a good idea.the main two problems are the odour and possible discolouration from the vomit. For the odour try clensan on its own then leave to dwell for 5 mins. Then clean with fab restorer as the prespray and extract with f&f rinse.any stains that remain treat with red rx.But some staining may remain as indeed so could the odour.BEFORE you start is it wet cleanable? You can also spray the foam odour neutraliser.
