Crystal Green - sludge?
« on: February 27, 2009, 08:01:29 am »
Hi all,
From time to time I use Crystal Green (normally with Clensan) to clean particularly bad areas, e.g. pets, nursing homes etc.  but when I come to clean my machine afterwards (I have a Powr-Flite Perfectheat), I find that the the filter in the solution tank, plus the filter in my wonder wand are both caked in a green sludge? - does anyone else find this problem?   I do try and mix/dissolve the crystal green as thoroughly as I can with hot water. - any ideas/suggestions?

I add hot water then slosh it around from one measuring jug to another till it's completely dissolved.
Sometimes add a touch of Double Clean to it as well to give a bit more of a kick.

same as mark jug boiling water , but there are better chems out there for this situation with non of the side effects , long use of these powder chems can play havoc with your machine  .
I was brought into the industry only using CG on every thing now its in the shed as a problem solver .

Thanks guys for the advice - I'll try the 'jug trick' next time I use CG. Pete
