High Street Brands VS Commercial Brands
« on: February 24, 2009, 01:51:03 pm »
Hi i am relatively new in the cleaning industry and was just wondering what the general view was about cleaning products. As i am mostly doing domestic cleans and i find myself usually stocking up on my fav high street products when they are on offer, (like flash bleach 74p in tesco at mo  ;D) i tend to stick with the same ones that i know work well and get the job done. how ever i am thinking of taking on Contract cleaning and more end of tenancy cleans also living in Bournemouth i have been approached by a few holiday home owners so this is another are to tackle. I have been to a cleaning supplier and with not knowing any of the Commercial brands out there i was at a loss on which i should try. should i just stick with how i am going, better the devil you know and all that!  ;D

any advice here is always welcome xx

Cheers Teresa

We do DOMESTIC AND COMMERCIAL AND HAVE NO PROBLEM WITH STOCKING UP ON HOUSEHOLD NAMED PRODUCTS TO USE FOR EITHER.
WE BUY THESE WHEN ON OFFER AND GOODS DEALS ARE ALWAYS FOUND AT WILKINSON AND SAVERS WITH OCCASIONALLY ASDA.
DEPENDANT ON THE WORK WE WOULD BUY 5 LITRE SUPPLIES OF SAY FLOOR CLEANER BUT YOU MUST BE VERY WARY TO USE ONLY IN MINUTE QUANTITIES.
EVEN FOR THE COMMERCIAL WE TEND TO BUY THE TOILET CLEANER IN THE SMALLER TYPE BOTTLES USUALLY FROM WILKINSONS AS WE FOUND 5 LITRES OF TOILET CLEANER WERE USED IN SAME QUANTITY AS 1 LITRE.
REGARDS
Tom

To keep the health & safety people off your back you are required to have data sheets (COSHH sheets) Control Of Substances Hazardous To Health.

I'm new to this game myself to be honest, but I don't mind at all sharing ideas and advice if I have any :)

Hi Teresa,
Could you let me know how you get on with the COSHH research. I'm new to all this and don't really know where to start.
Cheers
