« on: February 14, 2009, 12:21:05 pm »
Been looking at these 2 brands - same weight, same system, same price (ish) but what one? and if I bought one could it be used for lower heights - Ie : a 60ft pole used for 18 ft high windows?

Majority will say SL2, I got the emporium to 88ft but I now reccomend an M16 fishing pole for £320ish. Yes you can use them at any height because they are in 5ft5 increments, if you have a 3ft top section you can get close an personal up entries etc.

Jeff - If using at lower heights how do you protect the bottom of the pole as I employ some "HEAVY HANDED " staff

Not reccomended for heavy handed staff  ::) defo. Forget it, they have to earn the right to use them.
I wrap a few turns of pvc tape round the base, off the shelf ones now come with reinforced rings

M16 and F16 are 42fters, put on extensions to go to 80ft
