Hows work
« on: February 13, 2009, 03:26:08 pm »
Just wondering how your work is for next week ???

Taken some calls today and booked 3 off them in for next week.

Had two from my site and 1 from yell.com and got them all and not a price shopper in sight lol :o

Think with the weather last few weeks has been putting them off.

Looks like the end of feb is going to be a decent one ???

Its been dead here, had a few office jobs this month so the money has been quite good, but hardly any domestic, i agree its the weather.
Once it clears the phones will be off the hook.
Jan was the worst month we have ever had since we started in the 90's
We only took £650 the whole month. :'(
Its not that we are not getting the jobs, the phone just isnt ringing.
Going to step up the leafleting next few weeks, we have had these quiet periods before.
Nov and Dec were amazing so i wont start worrying until May ;)

Same here totally dead, cant remember it being so quiet.
But then again snow and slush don't exactly motivate you to have your carpets cleaned.
Shortly spring will be here and we will all be snowed under. :-\

Early January was real slow (opposite to usual)

Late January and all February real busyboth residential and commercial (opposite to usual)

Next two weeks full and someone will have to be let down because I've a pending funeral to go to.

On the domestic front one a week just! Commercial busy but jerked about >:(, only today got another two leads it seems the porty boys cant handle them, no power :D. Thinking of taking the quantum leap and getting a web site done but will have too wait till April.

Derek you're doing well, now that you are finding the seasons then all you have to do is decrease your advert spend when you are busy and increase it when you know that you are slowing down.

Don't forget to say hello to past customers or they will forget you.

Shaun

PS Hate to say it but I'm really busy, this week 5.5 days should reach £10 ;D

Booked solid for next  three weeks, not all on cleaning side though, hoping for good year with leads and jobs already booked.  Looking at t/m in the next few months already increased advertising and had new fliers printed up for both domestic side and commercial

Clinton

Haven’t yet (got a few domain names) don’t advertise ether well for the past four/five years, (it’s suspiring how many keep old yell pages)

Yes I have, need one with a bigger fresh water tank run out of water today totally embarrassing back tomorrow (then onto an old dom customer), not as much as the porty boy’s no power and no access to water. I love commercial profit not vanity. 8)

Shaun

Never took a penny  ;)

Northern Rock (state owned not like some only a %) sounds like a good investment got £49k coming out in March with a pa of £12480 (think the law is changing so get in there) and looking to place it, NICK was the downfall I just worked for them and made them big profit 12years ago contract is a contract, just wish I was not a cockney, would have got more. :-X
