Just over the water here in Holland we are still getting -4 nights and just around zero during the day...

My tank now has around 7.5% alcohol....sod putting all the salt down...now I know my water will not freez when it hits the ground.

Cheers
Dave.

Do you mean when you slosh it over the ground it still isn't frozen in the morning?

Methanol....I buy it by the 200litre barrels for making biodiesel and I have tried it using 2.5, 5.0, 7.5 , 10, 15 & 20% mixes and even down to -12 or was it -13...anyway the 10% mix was fine...but lesser mixes did suffer with freezing to various degree's...

Just contact a chemical dealer....and they'll deliver you a few hundred litres in a jiffy...

Cheers
Dave.

Metchecks short range forecast is generally pretty accurate I find, but once you get into the 8-14 day forecast they just put up the 'expected' weather for the time of year.

As those days get closer to the present day they miraculously change ::)

Ok having gone out today with my 400l tank +around 6% methanol mix...I got to my first job and thought I was the dog danglies...no freezing for me I thought...smug grin locked on....got out the facelift 44ft for the very top windows and the thing would not extend in any section ...FROZE....even poured my flask of coffee over it and still frozen and refusing to extend.

Gets out the SL-X...now this is going to be ok...it was in the van last night...so pole works fine...then...doing a fully double glazed house......now see the pictures!! well as you cannot see the pictures...the windows just froze.

Just when you feel your winning somthing comes along and give you a dam good kicking....

Cheers Dave
