I have a superlight mono dual trim and I think it is the best brush I have ever used.

However, it is only two weeks old and bristles are already falling out. Also, the jets are two different sizes. Is that normal? I think one is a 2mm and the other is a 1.5mm. Not certain on the sizes but they are certainly different.

Sounds bizarre!  Can you email me your actual name so that I can look your records up on Monday and sort this out?  We don't actually do a 1.5mm jet so I'm quite puzzled.
Now Alex is selling so many - maybe they will get cheaper?

Maybe they will............. maybe they will get lighter as well.

I have also found that Alex, with the 24' xtel I got about 2 months ago, I also got a mono s/l brushead, you fitted fans in it. Im not worried about it to be honest, but the 2 fans of water produced are definately not the same; although the 2 fans are both the same colour (which I assume means they are both the same bore).

Hi there,

I know this has probbly been asked before but could some one tell me what the difference between these three brushes is as I thought that the mono filiment was the one to rinse on the glass with and the flocked you had to rinse off with :-\

Manythanks

Gordon

Mono-Filament Dual-Trim are the best brushes for rinsing with bristles on the glass and if you put in a little extra pressure will scrub harder than the flocked.

Flocked Dual-Trim scrubs the glass the most easily with the least pressure and will do so most quickly. When under pressure though will not scrub quite as hard as the mono-filaments.

Mono-filament Single-Trim are good for rinsing bristles on the glass and given the right pressure will scrub the glass most efficiently of all three brushes. Will work the glass slightly slower than the dual-trim version.

All three brushes are great to use and it can be difficult deciding between them all at times. I am going to make the decision even harder soon by bringing out another variant  ;D

Hi Alex

I am not certain on the sizes but you can tell when you turn the brush to point skywards. One jet pushed the water up to about 3 foot while the other is only about 1.5 foot. When I saw that I looked down the jet and could see it was a different diameter. I didn't notice it myself, it was a guy working with me for a few days that actually pointed it out. It's not that big a deal, I am more concerned with the bristles falling out.

Will email you the details.

I have got your email. I will sort this for you.

As they are the same colour they should be the same  ??? The first possibility is that there is a bit of muck inside the barb on one of the jets. This often happens on my standard jets and I have to remove the jet hose to flush it out. With the deeper barb on the back of the fan-jet you might not notice it up there. The second possibility is that one of the fans has turned slightly meaning that the bristles are getting in the way of the fan.

Its always been like it Alex,  Im not worried, Ive got enough of those bloomin' fan jets at home here now ::) one day I'll swap them about so theyre even spread from both nozzles.

This thread was to champion the flocked brush not general tit for tat for the odd blocked jet , my point is to all new wfp users or those that have not yet invested in the supalite range DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY on any other brushes (like i have) all you need is a flocked brush for short poles and a mono brush for long poles - brushes sorted - job done ;)

Correct a mono for all the high stuff and rinsing on the glass,i use the flocked for bottoms first cleans and some lead work.

Thanks Alex, so they can rinse with the bristles on but have a different scrubing power.
