wonder if any one can  shed some light on this   on one of my vans the water is coming out slow my work partner thought it was the battery going flat so i put my one on and it was still the same i thought it sounded like a air lock so blead it through but it still seems the same it seems to me that there is still an air lock but no matter how much i blead it its still there could this mean that there is no power in my pump its still making a running noise helllllllllllllllllllllllp thanks    marc

Does the pump have a strainer/filter just before the inlet?

I am having the same problem!!! I have tried changing all of the pipes-connectors and even the pumps but it still has "bleading problems" I have noticed that it get worser, the colder the weather gets!!!, could this be the cause? and if so how to resolved it without going down the hot water route.

I had similar probs just recently, i was convinced it must be air. the flow slowed right down & was banging just as if it had air in it.
It was the pump filter that was blocked up restricting the inlet flow!
Cleaned it & it worked perfect for an hour then same again, blocked. looked in my tank & it was full of tiny bits of algea. Cleaned the filter & tank out & has worked perfect ever since.

thanks tony but i cleaned the filter out yesterday as it was all frozen so we lagged all the pipe work could the frost have damaged the pump   marc

Not sure about the frost marc. have you ptfe'd all the pump connections? New 'O' rings on any hozelok connectors?

it cud be a bad lead ,or coneiton on wires

Maybe you still have ice in the hose or pump? Check the tank vent is clear too.

Your pump could still have ice in it.  The pump should be OK once defrosted.

I have just took the filters of and they looked clean, I put them in the wash basin of hot water and shook they and the amount of crap which has come out is incredible, I couldn't see it yet it was there, will try it tommorow and let you know.

Mine looked clean from the outside (it's the long, sosage type one) but once taken apart it was a different story.

just an update i was going to change pumps from one van to another to rule that out but first  i removed the old connectors and replaced with new ones and re did the ptf tape and all seems ok now   thanks for all the in put    marc

I've removed as many connectors as possible from my system, my next step will be to remove the DI vessel too. That will leave me with only two connectors to worry about - one on the reel and the other on the tank outlet.

had the same pump turning no water output, took head off found bits of clear plastic in diaphram.
took the diaphram apart and found more plastic bits cleaned out re-assembled worked no problems
thinking about it must have come from tank when holes cut, now fitted strainer no problems
