Not a wind up! Best equipment for start up?
« on: December 15, 2008, 09:24:00 pm »
Guys i posted before and got told that i was winding you all up. I swear i am not, just looking for a pointer in the right direction as im sure many of you did when you started.

I have managed to raise around £800 to get things up and running. I have used the rug doctor and genuinely have a customer base of 6 or so a month (without advertising). Started with one lady - cleaned her carpet and hired a rug doc, she passed my name and number to friends and a lettings agency who pass me 5 - 6 per month alone. They are al happy with the RD but i do agree with comments that it could do better.

The minimum i want to do is maintain the standard the rug doc produces so i do not disappoint existing custimers from their i want to build up a few more customers and improve my standards and build equipment as i go.

What equipment can i use as entry level bare minimum?

What other advice can you offer?

I am not trying to teach you to suck eggs or wind you up. Im asking for your advice since yous are the best at cleaning carpets. And controrary to other  replies i had - i am not taking the p1ss.

Please guys some honest advice appreciated.

I will post back to comments on here.

Thanks
Alex (Glasgow)    ???
