Hi ekps

Please do not give me a lesson on carpet cleaning just your opinion

First off , not the best way to endear yourself to proffesional carpet cleaners !.

second lets look at the problem you have .

1  you can get work
2 the rug doctor does a good job ,you think
3 the rug doctor is hard work
4 you have little money to re invest

solution keep working with the rug doctor until you can afford a portable with at least 100psi and twin vacs.
once you have this purchase a machine that will mechanical agitate  buffer sebo or invirodri.

step 2 work hard again then purchase a machine that will produce 500 to 1000 psi and can be worked from a van and can auto fill auto dump and produce high heat at the right end .

step 3 work herd again Moo then purchase a truckmout( a big thing in your van that makes a lot of noise and costs a lot )

Job DONE

Neil.

Ps Odd course might help

Ie How to win friends and influence people

Hope this has been helpful

You won't get what you are looking for here. The rug doctor is not a proffessionals choice of machine.
Paying customers will be more than a little bit bemused if you turn up with one. The reason they get a pro in is because they want something better than they can do themselves. .It is at best a top of the range domestic unit. Please feel free to come back when you want to discuss proffessional carpet cleaning issues.  >:(

mop and bucket, does a better job, is a lot cheaper and gets the carpets dryer faster, you could market to your existing customers as new and improved with rapid drying, just 3 days instead of 4.
or buy 2 mops for dual mopping. go on, treat yaself.

Hi Guys

A diificult question for a professinal carpet cleaning forum as we are talking about domestic cleaning machines.

On the basis of having something which is better than a domestic machine, I would advise a good second hand machine of possibly the Rhino, also on ebay , which is cheap and cheerful.

Cheers

Doug

Unlikethe rest of you i amnot anti Rug Doctor.

It does a good job.

It has replaced a lot of carpet cleaners in Nursing Homes etc

I have just lost out on aqoute to a Rug Doctor.

But I have checked previous posts of our new contributor.

For a start we would prefer a real name  photo and location.

I have this to say if you can generate£1500 a month you can afford to lease new equipment.
