Van mount or trolley?
« on: December 05, 2008, 09:33:07 am »
Hi
i am startng back to window cleaning after about 20 years out and was wondering if someone could tell me what in their opion is best,a trolley or van mounted system with 2 poles?I have a bloke working for me so there will be two of us together. Also in your most valued opinon :D would you think it best that we both do 1 house at a  time ie one at the front and one at the back or do 1 house each?
sorry for all the questions ,just so much to learn about ;D

Van mount with two poles will nearly always be the best bet.

or 2 trolleys  ;) ;)

build your own, if you decide to get a van mount, you will just need to add a tank and hose reel etc

e.mail me 4 a link to build your own

That was fast thanks. :)
What about the two of us? any ideas on that? Also it says with van mount that you can use your customers water to refill the tank ,but surely it takes a long time for ro water to be produced and you would constantly be connecting your hose up to there tap and then 10 minutes later when the wndows  are  done undoing the hose from the customers tap etc
I was thinking of getting a system from sureclean in ireland, anyone know anything about their systems? ??? :)

Hello henryfitz,

I'm based in Ireland too - where abouts are you? I know a couple of people who have bought a system from Sureclean and seem to be happy with their purchase.

hello
i am based in Dundalk.Where are you? Yea arthur at sureclean seemed to know what he was talking about when i spoke to him the other day,but i was hoping to get ideas from the window cleaning community :D.
Has anyone any idea about which is best regarding the two of us and weather it is best to do seperate houses or is it best to work together on the same house?
Lots of questions i know  :)

I would say a van mount,... 2 pumps, two reels....

i have always said that two people never double the amount of work one person can do,... unless you have two vans.

but lots of people work in pairs, i had someone with me for a while and i found we worked quicker on seperate houses, but obviously you cant do this all the time.

oh and get the largest tank your vehicle can comfortably carry.

 ;)

Monaghan. I'm going through a similar dilemma: transferring from traditional to WFP and don't know what system to get or whether to use a van or trailer.

in my opinion, i would go the diy route as to what system to get,
and as for trailer/van mount, van mount all the way, ,
