now this may sound daft,but i,ve managed to shave off 2 hrs,on my normal working day ,this is how i done it,,,use 2 poles,now i guess this will only work if the houses are in the same road,but what i done was use one pole do all the tops (this was on about 7 houses), and then go back round with a nice short pole and do all the bottoms,not only did this job get done quicker, but i also save wear and tear on one pole ,with dropping and extending all the time,,,,,what do you all think then ,,,is i the daddy

I have to do this atm, only got a small tele which doesn;t reach over cons or high 1st floors.. my large 40ft tele is too big to do bottoms..

So ive gone down the fishing pole route, looking forward to using it and saving time hopefully.

I think its only likely to save you time as you say if you have lots to do in a row..

Have to disagree. It's easier to get a longer pole than required and chop it down so that compact; it's ideal for ground floor windows and fully extended it will easily reach 1st level or 2nd level windows as required. I use a HXtel 24ft pole cut down to 22ft reach for domestic as it's small enough collapsed to reach ground floor windows in restrictive spaces. Therefore I only carry one pole and save the hassle of two poles.

I agree. I used to have a minipole for the bottoms. I shaved an hour off my day when 1 bought one of these 17ft xtel poles. Do one side of tops then go back and do bottoms. Move onto next side.

If the house aint perticulary big i just start front left of house go round and come down at the back on the downs back to van, very fast, small semi detached house 2 mins (if that) all put away

heres my take on this whole sorry saga.....if u wanna know.

dont get two poles, ie one big and one wee...get a pole that goes big for the big big heights...and goes wee for yer wee teeny windows.....sorted.....like my pole........spiderybeam fingy.com....work it out.........can u tell i am having a wee glass of the chuckle water?....anyways once u have the spiderbeam then all u do is: discard the top 2 sections and the 1st two sections and you are left with a decent 24ft foot pole that will last you years and years and years (2 months). a snip at 70 quid. (kidding about the 2 months, just for comedic effect)...........mine has lasted me 2 years sop far, still going strong...oh bye the way it is a clampless pole which is super kwik for extending and lowering. ....wheres that chuckle water?

Same here 1 pole like the 17ft xtel is the way to go! When I used to use two poles I would have to keep stopping to change poles (although then I didn't realise how much time I was wasting. When I changed to an xtel I couldn't believe how much quicker I have got through the day, I would say I save about an hour too.

Some have stated upto 6 poles on the van. We have a min of 3. 4-6ft  30ft & 45ft

Now for the next trick, use both poles at the same time, you'll save more than 2 hours.
