ritchy we have an Ionic s thing to if you use the side panel and disconnect
your hose every time you will get air in the hose where you unplugged it and every time so when you have use the hose next time the air at the beginning feeds its way
through until fluuuuuuuuuuuugh  spitssssss

WE now leave the hose fitting on all the time and don't use the side vents at all and no air enters the hose problem solved

Do you keep the pole hose connected as well, as i would of thought this would cause the same prob  if you don't. I just put up with it

iv got the outlet at side of me van so i can lock my van up when working, so i disconnect my reel from the system and i also disconnect my pole from reel after each job.it does tend to be at start of the clean so it cud just be air.

Use a non return valve before the hosereel and a flow tap on your pole and you'll never have to wait for water from the second you turn the tap ;D
