« on: November 21, 2008, 05:42:47 pm »
Finally i pulled my finger out and spent some time getting together my documents.

I have collected togther:-

Method Statement and Risk Assessment for the largest contract i do.
Ladder Use Policy
Ladder Safety Check list
WFP Safety Check list
COSHH
Copies of Insurance and various training certs.

Can anyone whos a member think of anything else that will be required ?

Chris

You need an H&S Policy

Clothing / Workwear documentation

PPS details

Any docs for hire of equipment/ cherry pickers etc.

All liscenses, training courses & H&S training etc.

Vehicle service & maintenance records

WFP service & maintenance records

Probably more, but, a few to think of.

I bet you 100% they send your method statement and hse policy back saying they arent good enough.

The method statement required for wfp is about 30 different points just for getting the pole up,

you will also need a seperate one for ladders

Potential customers can easily spot things like that, they like to see genuine pictures of you working rather than them thinking who is he trying to kid.

Dont worry they would have listed every thing that you need to provide in the application form . If my memory serves me right it should actually have a check sheet with it.

No matter how much info you send it wont be good enough . They will send you a list of the things you need to amend, also they have a section on there web site that has examples of what you shoud of sent. Each thing you need to change will have a link to a section on there web site.
Also they dont rush getting back to you . You could send in your details on the 1st of the month , by about the 10th you will get a letter telling you they have got your details and are looking into it . About 6 weeks later you should hear something

It kinda does, but you never know if you have included "enough" information in the first place. I will have another look at their website for further advise.. will get this sent off monday - and then hope for the best.

Will look into cscs cards next..

Dont worry you are paying which means any monkey can get it.They just like to make you think you are earning it.
