Public Liability cover
« on: November 21, 2008, 11:05:49 am »
Time to renew my public liabilty, im going to join the Fed now, and the rates are pretty reasonalbe to be fair with them.

Just wondering last year i had 5 million cover, is it worth having that much? Im thinking of dropping down to 1m, well it would save me £170...

Any point on having so much cover?

Do tell  :)

Mainly only for commercial reasons. They seem to insist on a higher liability cover - or so ive read :P

If your residential then i dont see no reason why 1 million would do it.

Whhhhatttt, How much PL do you pay now?

Ive got a 5 mil Products & public liability from zurich = £119.00 a year.

This covers for all eventuallitys upto 3 floors, Domestic, shops, offices pubs & hotels.
This also covers me for carpet cleaning as well.

Dont reduce your cover becuase 1 mil in this day and age is nothing.

This is a good cover mind, i paid the same as you last year with Black Diamond, but it did not cover for my equipment and cover for glass breakages or damage. No doubt your cover will not cover this either. This one does and unlimited height.

Its £170 for 1mil and £340 for 5mil and also £230 for 2mil

People say that money is not the key to happiness, but I always figured if you have enough money, you can have a key made!

A million pound in todays no win no fee market is not enough IMO, you can say your racially abuse and sex discriminated these days and get more than a million  ::)
