Hi Russel, I use Ashbys shampoo and in most cases apply with an electric spray unit, agitate heavily soiled areas with a soft brush then extract with a Kleenrite upholstery tool.

Fabric restorer, agitate and extract with F&F rinse
Impossible done straight away, miracles can take a little longer.

Just got a Minitex, saves on my brushing hand  ;D

I'm thinking of getting one of these myself - can you tell me if it's worth the expense please?

Definitely.  It's not an "expense", it's an investment :)

The Minitex is ideal for agitating prespray into upholstery and it helps with the drying time. I can sometimes have upholstery dry before I leave by using Minitex and then Drimaster to rinse and extract.

Just wondering if a Car Valeting rotary pad machine with a bonnet could be used

Think you would get same results from them long as the batteries are charged

Think of it in terms of replacing your extraction machine with a Vax ::)

C'mon guys, a few hundred quid invested in something that's going to help you make tens of thousands of pounds!  We need to use professional machinery!

Mine has an electric lead Clinton  ;)

Jim, you cant compare it to using a vax as a main c/c machine.

All it is needed for is to agitate some upholstery - its a heavy tool, you cant put that weight into a 3 piece suite.
I did have a mini-tex when I had a Texatherm rotary machine - sold the mini-tex to Spencer just over 12 months ago. Not missed it.

i use a one-man-powered brush, sometimes a brush with hard bristles for mingers and sometimes a brush with soft bristles for 'clean' furniture, easy to change to either and no need for a power lead. and do you know what, they use very little effort compared with lugging a machine all over the suite, when they wear out it's back down to the shop to spend another £2 on new ones,
